Exam stress
If the thought of exams makes you go weak at the knees, try this breathing control exercise. During stress, breathing becomes shallow and rapid, so taking a deep breath is an automatic way of relaxing the body.
Breathe in through the nose slowly and deeply to the count of ten. Make sure that the stomach expands but the chest does not rise. Breathe out slowly through the nose, also to a count of ten. To help relax your mind, concentrate completely on the task. Do this five to ten times every day, even when you're not feeling stressed. This will help you to link the deep breathing with relaxing and you'll be able to harness this feeling before or during exams or any event you find stressful.
